this may be an obvious question, but does your SO clean up after himself?
I recently quit working, and, though this was an issue before I quit working, SO does not clean up after himself.
He's off work today and is just making more of a mess for me to clean up.  
I spent a good amount of time cleaning the apartment, the stove being part of that, and this morning he got coffee grinds and pieces of chicken all over the stove that I spent a decent amount of time cleaning yesterday. When I asked him to please wipe off the stove when he was done eating he didn't even respond.
I'm just wondering if SAHMs are just expected to clean everything or if your SOs are polite enough to at least clean up after themselves.

ETA: I'm talking about the things like rinsing the plate and putting it in the dishwasher when he's done with it. Wiping his hair off the bathroom sink when he's done shaving. Putting his dirty clothes in the hamper rather than next to it, or just wherever they fall. Simply putting things back where they belong when he's done using them. Putting trash in the trash can rather than on the counter... (that one bugs me the most)
I believe the vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning toilets, laundry, etc. is all part of the job, so I'm not asking if he helps out with those things, I'm asking if he simply cleans up after himself.

I clean up after him. He had a maid growing up so he's not use to doing it himself but we are working on it

DH is a pretty clean person. He's very careful about not spilling crumbs or leaving any food out. Puts all this clothes in the hamper, ect. The only thing that he doesn't clean after himself is the sink when he shaves! Drives me crazy but hey, I guess he could be worst. DD1's biological dad was a freaking slob. He would leave EVERYTHING out and never picked up after himself at all! Just plain laziness.

ugh. I just can't imagine the hell hole the apartment's going to be in after I give birth and he's supposed to be helping me for the two weeks I'm recovering.  

Depends. We clean up after each other, really. Sometimes I'll leave a mess if I'm in a rush to get out the door and he'll clean it up for me.

My SO never cleans up after himself! He will make a trail of clothes as he is taking them off two feet in front of the hamper. Tooth paste EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. I always get irritated because I work so hard to keep things clean and he acts like he was raise in a barn. :/

I freakin HATE when DH leaves hair in the sink after shaving!! It grosses me out. That's the one thing I put my foot down with and refuse to clean up after him.

with my SO it depends on how busy he is.. if hes just about to leave for work he wont do it..or if hes seriously tired (i dont work so i can clearly clean up after him as he pays our bills) at the weekend when i am pretty much scrubbing the house top to bottom he will stay and help even if it takes hours. he will hoover the floor, clean out all our pets and sometimes cook.. i am greatful because he works nights.. and he works hard shifts. x and i know i could have someone far worse.

I wish he would work on cleaning up after himself, but he claims he's the cleanest person in the world and that all the mess is mine! ugh.
