My daughter was 3 when we got a puppy & I didn't let her grab him alone either. She would cry about it sometimes but oh well, she's a kid. Kids cry when they don't get their way. Guess I'm a mean mom too.

Yes. She makes excuses as to why she can't get three carpet cleaned or replaced. Also, her animals are sick. That is her `reasoning ` for not getting rid of them.

well, if you bothered to read it all, you would have seen where i said it is clean. that i feel that no floor is clean enough. and for the record, my MIL spent 6,000 building a room for the cat to be out of the house and bought a steam vac.

A steam vac isnt going to do smurf from the sounds of your post. You need to replace the carpet and put the damn cats down. Your kid needs to develop why would you think a bed is any cleaner than a floor can be. My carpet gets vacuumed daily (sometimes multiple times a day) My floors get swept daily and mopped every 2-3 days. My kids are perfectly safe to play and explore the house.
