Going to Court for Child Support Questions

Ok So my DDs father owes 18,000 and we have been going to court back and forth. This last time it was to show proof that he has been looking for a job. I couldnt go because I didnt have anyone to watch my girls. But i called the texas oag number to ask about any notes they had on the case and she said that it was reset to march 4th and he has to sho proof that he has been looking again.

My question is hat comes next? Do we keep going to court for proof of looking for a job? I know for a fact he could get a job he just isnt doing so because he wants a certain type of job and wont settle for something he doesnt wont. He is ordered to pay 580 a month. and hasnt paid for years...

Texas child support enforcement SUCKS. my sons dad just now got sent to jail for being on probation for over 2 years and not paying for almost 4 and the only reason why he is in jail is because he was picked up for public intox and he had a warrant thats been floating around the state for not paying. if i was you, id get a lawyer to fight because the court system is really screwed. Im sure he could get away with it over and over again as long as he shows that he put in an application every once in awhile. this topic really gets me hot, sorry! I hope you get your babys money that you deserve.

Ugh Alayna is almost 10 months and they still haven't served her dad with child support papers

It does really suck and its been almost 5 years smh. We've been going to court but i feel like nothing is really happening. And it makes me mad that he keeps getting to take her for the weekends and he doesn't have to take any responsibility for paying for anything. I had to take her out of her daycare preschool program cause i can't afford it. And it breaks my heart that she keeps on asking when is she going back to school cause we can't. Smh. I can't afford a lawyer and i wonder what a court appointed lawyer would do

I had to remove my son from preschool too because I didnt have the support. It isnt fair and Texas needs to be held accountable. I now live in pa my hubby was out of a job for 3 weeks and he was served by the court to come in for his daughters support. 3 damn weeks and its been close to 4 years for me/

they wont serve him... you will need a lawyer too :/

The attorney general is doing it because I'm on Medicaid and TANF.
