I can understand that! I feel the same way about where I live. It is paradise, low crime and the people are pretty nice and polite for the most part. I definitely like your weather better. We get cold snaps that are so annoying. One day it's cold as hell and then the next week we will be back in the 70s this time of year & it repeats!

We;ve been having colder than normal weather for like 2 weeks now. I had to scramble and run to target because my kids had like no warm clothes that fit them LOL

Are any of you near Sarasota? Do you know where St Armands Circle is??

If so, find the Daquiri Deck and try their stuff!! It's absolutely TO DIE for, and they have a TON of delicious daquiris, for a great price!

(I used to live in the Sarasota/Venice/Englewood area lol)

yesss do! downstairs is the bar (sharkeys) and that is where DH works, but they serve the full menu there as well. they have awesome food. i also reccomend the stuffed hogfish/flounder/lobster (depends which they have instock for the night).

St Armands Circle is SO worth the trip, especially for the Yogurt places and the Daquiri Deck, or the Spice Emporium there!

have you looked into vacation houses? my aunt used to come down for the superboat races and she would rent a vacation house bc it was cheaper than the hotels for a week.
