3 month old weight.

At my son's well baby today they told us he's really underweight and needs rice cereal (we're not going to give him rice cereal at 3 months though) but he's 10lbs 14oz. My daughter is healthy but was always small, too.

What did your 3 month old weigh? 10lbs 14oz really doesn't seem THAT small to me but they made a big deal about it.

my son was 13 lb 7oz at 10 weeks haha and 15lb 13oz at 16 week however to a point i wouldnt worry i know someone whol baby (not preemie) was only 13lb 5oz at a year healthy happy and no issues eating!

DD was about 9-10lbs. we've always had weight issues with her and DS was around 13-14 I think. He's my chunker.

We didnt' have a 3 month, but at 2 months, he was 16 lbs 5 oz, that's my second.

he was 15 pounds at 3 months

Yeah my daughter has had a lot of weight issues as well. She's doing fine though so hearing that he's around the same weight she was doesn't really worry me.

Yeah he's a big boy. He was also 10 lbs 12 oz at birth.

Did they give you any other options besides rice cereal?

They told us we could up the amount of formula he gets, but he already eats a lot so I don't think he'll take more.

We were bfing but we had a bunch of latching and supply issues and now my supply is pretty much gone.

As long as you are making sure he's eating enough, hopefully he will gain. I don't blame you for not wanting to rice cereal so early.

Yeah he usually has about 6 oz in each bottle and I don't think he'll eat more at a time. They said to put the cereal in his bottle or feed it to him by spoon which I thought was ridiculous.
