Seizures in adults
posted 5th Feb
when an adult has had a seizure and is suppose to be on medication for it, can they "pull themselves out" of it if they feel that it is about to take place?

Meaning... can they stop themselves from having a seizure?
I'm gonna go with... no.

"Pull themselves out of it" as in make it not happen? If that's what you meant no they can't.

if you're asking if you can stop it if you feel it coming, no.
I have epilepsy and don't always feel them coming on but when I have felt them the only thing to do is prepare yourself. Make sure there are no potential dangers around you and relax

I rarely have seizures anymore, but when I do, some of the time I can kind of tell when it's going to happen, I lay down, warn my husband and hope for the best. :-/
