how acurate..

posted 5th Feb
in the waht to expect when your expecting book it says in multiple places that when your 31 weeks your utureus should measure 31 cm all the way up til your 40th week. well im 31 weeks and i measured 36 cms.. how accurate do you think that is? could i be 35-36 weeks?.. ive started to lose my mucus plug, ive had braxton hicks every other day, baby has dropped and is in the birth canal. and my dr goes by last period, wich my last period could have very well been implantation bleeding. what do you think??

They didn't give you a due date based on your u/s? When I was pregnant with my first baby I measured 41 at 37 weeks.

Fundal height is majorly affected by the position of the baby. Don't worry about it.

measurements are never right.

i measured 3 weeks behind with my 3 month old. its all in how your baby is laying.

you could just have a big baby.

Fundal height is not accurate at dating a pregnancy. You might have a big baby, or extra fluid. Usually doctors use ultrasound to confirm your due date. Have you not had an ultrasound?

You can lose your plug at any time and it can regenerate. Mythic plug coming out does not mean labor is near necessarily.

^ this!
I've lost mine already and I'm only 20 weeks. They 'grow' back.

Doesn't matter.
You may just have a big baby. If you've had 3 ultrasounds your dr would know if you were farther along by how developed the baby is.

Mucous plugs re-grow. Some women start losing them earlier than you.

They thought my baby was measuring to big in ultrasounds for my due date. I can't remember my fundal height but I remember them commenting on how big I seemed for how far I was.

My baby was born only 5 pound 15 oz. turns out I had a lot of fluid due to pre e.
