Taxes... UGH anyone else get this?!

Hubby and I always do our own taxes using Turbo Tax the first few days in Feb. After we submit, it's taken the IRS a few days to accept and usually a week or 2 later we have our refund in our account...
This year we recieved this email-

Your federal return is lined up for processing
The IRS is not ready to accept tax returns that have certain deductions or credits in them - like yours. Your return will be automatically sent to the IRS as soon as they're ready to process it. This is a nationwide delay for all returns like yours - no matter who prepares them.

We'll send you another message when your return has either been accepted or rejected by the IRS.

Anyone else get one like this? We do our taxes as soon as we get our W2's so it's not like we procrastinate. I want our 7grand in my bank!!!

Yeah we got the same thing because of a credit I received for school.

I wouldn't be complaining if I was getting 7 grand back!!! Lol I got like 80 bucks back last year........ Canada sucks for tax returns.

I got the exact same email, it had something to do with deductions for tuition.

Yea if you claimed certain things this year the IRS wasn't ready for it yet...sorry. My parents got the same thing due to something they filed for their mortgage.

Yes we did. Because of a higher learning/education credit. Our return is estimated to hit before Feb 20

I am in no hurry, b/c I will probably have to write the IRS a check yet again this year. :-(

That's when they're starting to "accept" them according to their website.   I have a tuition credit too... I have no idea why it's taking them so long to get that together. Do they have any idea how many people are in school?

Was that just the plain ol education credit people are having issues with? Or something like the hope credit?

We filed on the 14-15 of Jan and they accepted it on the 22nd but then we got the email the OP posted about a week ago so at first it said we were going to get our return on Feb 8th but then it changed to before Feb 20

Ugh. we're screwed then. We didnt file until feb 3rd. Was hoping to have it by the end of the month for the little one's party. Crap. Thanks.

Ok, i guess we're confused because we do our taxes the exact same way and time of year that we always do and we've never experienced a delay like this.

DH has been in school for 3+ yrs, so we've submitted his tuition and stuff in the past. Is this the first year there's been a dely like this that anyone knows of??

Plus, i've heard rumors that Obama wasn't doing credit for tuition...?

We filed the 30th. I hope they accept it soon..it's going to take care of our debt. Do you know if they will deposit our state before federal? Because our state was accepted like the day after we filed.

We filed the same day.
We were hoping to pay off a Card that starts back interest on March 5th...
Suck!
