Ive gotten the same tuition credit. I'm a college senior now. I think he did extend that credit for a while though, so it will go through... just take forever. *sigh*

If I understand what I read correctly it had to do with all that fiscal cliff last minute approval crap. Their are new laws and such that came with it and the IRS has not updated all the forms and everything yet.

I didnt get that message but I filed SO and My taxes last night and about an hour later they both got accepted already. I thought that was pretty fast. Not sure when the expected return is yet.

Yeah I got the same message when I filed. I work from home, so I itemized my home office deductions, so I imagine that it has something to do with that. Uncle Sam has no problem taking our money, and get's his panties in a wad if we don't pay them on time, but when it comes to getting our own money back, we have to sit and wait and take it up the a** with a smile. SMH.

We got an email from turbo tax the other day that the IRS will be ready to accept them soon so they are sending ours in the 14th.

I just asked DS about it, and he said he got the same email a few days ago (I swear i wouldn't know anything about what's going on if i didn't ask him a DIRECT question)

So it will sent to the IRS on thursday. Fingers crossed that we all get our returns quickly

I hope we get our fast to! We were suppose to get our state today but got it last Friday so hopefully federal is the same!

Found this I hope it helps got the same email most of you did
The IRS announced today that on February 14, they will begin processing tax returns that contain form 8863 with Education Credits. Form 8863 is used to claim two higher education credits — the American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit.
