!!

OP you just wipe it like a finger...retraction happens on its own WAY later

If you know 3 people with intact sons who are all retractable by that age , I can guarantee you that you know 3 women that retracted their sons early. The average age of retraction is 10 - so to know 3 who naturally have loosened by 5 is rare to say the least.

Hun either way you can get infections especially if not cleaned the proper way. Dont get misinformed they are pros and cons from both ends. If up to you to make that choice but dont get fooled by what they say on the internet.

It can. But there are stretches and steroidal creams that resolve the problem.

Okay, I honestly thought that was bs. Lol. I mean, if that was the reason for circumcision in the first place then what did men do before they knew about circumcision?

Quoting A Beautiful Disaster:" foreskin cuts off circulation to the penis?? Is this a family trait?"
Over half the population of men in the world must have this issue, crazy we don't hear about it more!

yeah. Ok.

You know, I really really REALLY try to stay polite in these topics but there is always one person who comes in with BULLSmurf information and tries to pass it off as legit.

how the hell do you have THREE friends who all have 5 year old boys with effed up foreskin??? Hrmm....probably cause they all listen and give the same crap advice about pulling it back and what not.

This does not happen. FYI.

As far as cancer - yes a small teeny tiny percent say it COULD happen....but really, if you listed all the things that could give your child cancer you would have to keep them in a bubble - oh wait! Even that doesnt work hence babies BORN with cancer.

Go ahead and circ, thats cool, but dont pass on missinformation.

I did with my first because i wanted to avoid him having to get it done later in life if some thing happened (it happens more than you think to have to have it done later) But the doctor blotched it and he ended up having to have it redone when he was a year any way. So I decided with my second DS that it wasn't worth putting my kid through that again unless it just had to be done.

You all just had to turn this into a smurfing debate. I don't know why people care about a penis that does not concern them. Its. Not. That. Serious.

OP, do what YOU feel is best. As a mother, it is your job to make decisions for your children. Whether you circ or don't, let it be your choice 100%. Not a choice you made because of this ridiculous thread.

But it's fine for you to be fooled by what they say on the internet? I've spoken to DOCTORS. The risks are the same whether you cut or you don't. Because there are medical reasons for needing it done later when they'll remember the pain and there are medical issues you can reduce by having it cut. Just as there are risks to having the procedure done.

And again, it's not YOUR place to decide what a valid reason is.

Lol when half of the things say it may prevent it I would not be cutting my son's off unless it said it was a 100% able to prevent those things and furthermore most kids that have issues later on with infections and not retracting properly is because there baby's penis was not being cleaned correctly and they more than likely pulled the foreskin back which you are never supposed to do.
