100% agree

It's not your penis to cut, there is really nothing to question. It is a personal choice for HIM, not for anyone else.

It's a personal choice. My son will not have it done & that's my personal choice.
Do your own research on the pros and cons & get educated on it.

I think it's one of those things that each family has to decide for themselves, rather than there being a right or wrong answer. It wasn't something I had a strong opinion about, so I let DH make the decision for our DS. I don't have any regrets, and we'd probably go with the same choice if any future kids are boys.

I'm going to circ any sons I have for cultural/religious reasons.

I didn't realize that you were the foremost expert in foreskins and what makes a valid reason to cut it off or not.

She didn't say much on it I told her I wasn't sure so she printed off a bunch of research for the pros and cons and how the procedure was done and known risks that could happen if you choose to have it done or to leave it be and to me it just felt unnecessary and un-needed after reading everything and where he had been in the NICU for three weeks being poked and prodded already without a defiant date on when he was coming home I just really didn't feel like putting him threw one more thing that I didn't have to.

It's not her body to immunize either but that doesn't mean she should base her decision on that. Just let the girl decide without guilting her. Geeeez.

No it's a legitimate medical reason that occurs more often than people realize. I happen to know 3 women who are having to circumcise their children at the ages of 5 and older because they are having issues with the foreskin cutting off circulation. So now the child has to undergo general anesthesia and remember the pain after the surgery when it could've been avoided by having it done at birth.

I was also on the fence making this decision. I did my research & decided against it. It's a cosmetic procedure. I figure if he decides to get it done in the future, that's his choice.
