Bartender question!

How would I learn how to bartend?! Lol
I really want to! and I think it would be good money.
Any experiences? Anyone on here actually a bartender themselves?

I mean, try making some drinks. Look up recipes. There are plenty of books.
There are bartending "schools"... but it really depends on the bar. Some will hire you and train you, others want you to have experience bartending.

Alot of my friends who do it started out as servers. Once they were there awhile they were trained to be bartenders and branched out.

apply at a chain restaurant that will train you.

There are bartender courses you can take. I bartended for 8 years. You have ggod days and bad days depending on what days you work, where you work, or what event is happening. I bartended at an arena so we had hockey games, concerts etc. Depended on the crowd. Some nights I would only make $20 and others $200.

I went to ABC bartending school.

I went to a nightschool bartending class offered through the local college, usually called "mixology'
But I had experience behind a bar and I think that was more relevant then the class.

Just go start applying. A lot of small bars will hire you with no experience because it's sooooo freaking easy working at those smaller places. It's mostly just beer, and then self explanatory drinks like jack and coke, cranberry vodka, etc.
