Advice Moms with 3 & 5 y/o's!

I have three daughters, but my two older daughters go to school. I'm very quiet and not very open with people. I say hi to the other Mom's and Dad's, but don't usually spark up conversation (of course typing on here is much easier!) But, what I wanted to ask - My girls birthdays are both approaching. They want to ask some of their classmates to their party. But, I also want some Mom friends (long story short - my sister moved to TX and my best friend moved over an hour away). How do you spark up convo to where it leads to swapping phone numbers? Will I sound like a creeper if I ask a Mom for her number so XX and XX can hang out?

Not at all!!! Just say dd was asking to have so and so over, can we set something up? And let the convo evolve from there.

Last year my son had a best friend and her mom & I became friends and exchanged numbers. We still keep in touch...although I did recently find out through the magic of google that her husband is a convicted felon and is in prison...but thats a whole other story LOL

Just be like "Hi! Im ___ mom, Our kids are in the same class. we're having a bday party for them and would like ____ to come."

I will def start doing this! Last year when I started talking to the other Moms the school year came to a end. Don't want to be too late this time.

Haha. If I isn't teach prek and see moms do it all the time id probably Be the same way. I have anxiety talking to other moms.
