3rd person normal?

My DD is 2 1/2 and every since I can remember, she has referred to herself in the 3rd person. When she refers to someone else, she will use Nouns or names, hardly ever will she say 'you'. She will very rarely say My, Mine, I.... she always says thing like
"Bella's Milk", "Bella's Blanket", "Bella's toy", "Bella fell down", "Bella wanna go home"
I'm guessing this is normal but it's been going on every since I can remember her talking in sentences and her twin brother doesn't do this. Anyone elses babies do this?

Yes that is normal.  

Ive only had one kid do this and he was autistic (not that only Children with autism do it). More commonly I've had children use improper pronouns like me want or him need. Maybe it's because I teach 4 yr olds so they may have outgrown it by the time they're in prek. I would just model it for her. Like when you ask her for skmehing say "I want the toy, could you pass it to me?" on the next year if it hasn't self corrected if probably do a speech eval to be safe. It can't hurt. My dd has had a speech eval every year since she turned 2. She's never qualified so I know they're not out just to take kids for speech just because they are evaluated. It never hurts to get a professional opinion. You could even take her now if you want. But at 2.5 they're still learning the rules of the ever so difficult English language. And idk of you do it but I am guilty of it, I'll say thing like "mommy missed you!" or "pass that to mommy please". And then I go ugh that's not good modeling haha.

Do you or any other adults talk to her like that? Like does anyone say to her "that's Bella's milk" or "Bella needs to go to sleep" instead of "that's your milk" or "you need to go to sleep"

My sister talks to my niece and nephew like that
("does Chloe want to go to the park?" "Chloe needs to listen to mommy"
So now that's how they talk. They never say me, my, I, yours, mine, ect.

Yea I think DH and I do that a lot. "Can mommy have that toy?" I think we got in that habbit when we were teaching them people's names.

well with twins, we did that when they first started to talk because they started referring to each other as boy and girl lol. Then it went to Brother and sissy. Not it is finally evolving into Kaleb and Bella. (In their language)
Ususally when I say things like "Thats bella's milk" is when he takes it from her or grabs the wrong cup. When I talk to them (now) I say things like yours, his, hers.... but yea we did start off talking to them like that.

Right. It's hard to break te habit. It's like you want them to say mama and dads do soon that we talk to them like that as a baby. 2 yrs is like that transition age where u need to start phasing out the "baby talk" and really modeling correct speech since they're acquiring more speech so rapidly. At least your recognizing it. I have kids that come with skme awful habits at 4 yrs old because their parents "baby" them.

oh at like 6 months, I nipped the ooey gooey baby talk in the bud. You know that cutsey "yes she is yes he is" baby talk? Yea that was gone fast, we may have still said Mommy and Daddy and had improper sentence structure when teaching names and whatnot but it was said in our actual normal, talk to an adult tone voices.

Yeah i know what you mean   I just mean like improper sentence structure and stuff. But some people don't know when to quit. It's hard because we see our babies daily. It's hard to step back and say "ok they're this old now". Some
People just can't do that. Not you necessarily because pure obviously stepping back and questioning it otherwise you wouldn't have posted. But many parents don't. I see it all the time.

I guess with them being my first children, I seem to question everything I find that is a little off... even if it is completely normal.

Ido the same haha!! Even with my second because eveything with her is son different. Even stupid stuff like "why does she sick her tongue out so much? OS there something wrong?" haha
