Gender ultrasoud today...

I'm 19 weeks right now and we're going for an ultrasound tonight. I really hope that they'll be able to tell if its a boy or girl.

I've heard that drinks that are high in sugar will make the baby move around. Does anyone else have any tricks to get the baby moving for the ultrasound?

haha I didn't know this and I peed right before the U/S and baby was nesseled wayyy down so we couldn't see nothing....

went back two weeks later and didn't pee && its a boy!!!!

apparently the full bladder keeps them propped up.

I drank oj and went in with a full bladder. Dd still hid her girl parts. Good luck I hope you find out! It's a little disappointing when they can't tell.

After 18 weeks you don't need to have a full bladder unless they have a smurffy ultrasound machine. But being well hydrated will get a clearer image.

I always eat something right before my ultrasounds, whether it be a full meal or a large snack, and every tech has said he's super active and photogenic.  

Drink a lot of water too. And good luck!

With my son I drank OJ on the way to the ultrasound, and his legs were wide open. With my daughter I forgot about the OJ and she had her legs crossed, even with a full bladder. The tech had me walk around for 10 min. and I emptied my bladder and she moved so we could see what she was. I also heard that peanut butter works too but I've never tried it. Hope you find out!!

I drank lots of water & I ate a piece chocolate on the way .

the boyfriend and i have a huge plan to have the ultrasound tech write the gender on a paper in an envelope. we're going to drive to where we had our first date and open the envelope there...i'm pretty sure that he's going to propose after we open the envelope  , i've caught onto his plans since he's not very subtle.I'm going to plan dumb though lol...if they can't tell the sex then the whole thing gets wrecked
