would it bother you?

posted 5th Feb
if your daughter went to your SO for advice? like on boys or stuff like that? i'm watching Roseanne and Darlene went to Dan and Becky for advice on David, and Roseanne is mad that Darlene didn't come to her. i know there have been times where i went to my dad for advice instead of my mom and she got upset about it. i just felt that he'd handle it better than she would.

no, it wouldn't bother me. I'd be happy if I had a SO that my kid trusted to go to.

I'd LOVE for my daughter to seek advice and input from her daddy as well as me. That's why a married a man that is great husband and daddy-material.
Dads are REALLY important. They can give a different perspective than mom and help round-out the approach to many things in life.
** disclaimer - i dont not know the specifics of the episode in reference AND i am assuming that both real-life mom and dad a healthy, loving, committed, moral and ethical people.

No I wouldn't be upset. I trust my husband would give great advice on that subject. I would want a daughter to find a man who treats her the way my husband treats me

I wouldn't ever get mad but I will say I give better advice in my opinion, so they should know to come to me first. hahahahaha

I wouldn't care. My duaghter goes to my Mom with her problems sometimes, and I respect that sometimes she just doesnt want Mommy. But in the end, Im comforted that when things are real tough and she needs a hug... she just wants her mommy

I don't see why I would or even should. If anything, I'd like for her to hear the perspective of a guy in whatever situation she's in.
