If he was cleaning it correctly he should have been able to tell 0___0

well I am new to this site, so thanks for informing me of that. lol and i appreciate peoples advice and opinions but I have done research and made an educated decision based on what I feel. everyone feels differently about different things.

I agree. He most likely had issues with reduced sensation related to the diabetes and was unable to tell that there were issues before it was too late. Just realize OP that that is a very rare occurrence.

I wasn't saying you aren't educated...I'm pro choice anyway. I think it is up to the parents to decide what they want to do with their child's penis. Not my child, not my problem lol Anyway, good luck here on BG

Quoting kthx.:" Some women aren't clean, either. Yeast infections, STI's, odor, etc. It's because they aren't cleaning ... [snip!] ... if a problem occurs? Because you sure as hell don't see anyone mutilating a vagina over an STI or yeast infection, do you?"
its not so much the infection that's the issue as the INABILITY to pee and that can lead to a bladder that ruptures.

There is not enough research to sway me either way. I don't have a dick, i left it up to the boys fathers, who both happen to be circ'd, so both of my sons are circ'd. I don't regret it.

We had no problems and my son had his circumcision at my parents' home by a pediatrician with a rabbi performing the ceremony. Hard to name your son Moses and not have a circumcision, but also he matches his dad. I have found that aesthetically it's whatever a mother is used to seeing looks best to her.

This...

My son had to be circ'd about 6 months ago for medical reasons and if I have another boy I will not be doing it again. That is stupid way of thinking. They are still in pain until it heals. I changed a couple diapers of my youngest son after he got it done when he was a baby [I didnt have a choice in the matter, the adoptive parents wanted it], and if I touched it the wrong way, he would flinch.. same thing with my oldest son. The first time my oldest had to pee afterwards, you heard him screaming because it hurt. And it was like that for a good week. He was 5 when he got circ'd.

I could have sworn this question was "for women WITH circumcised sons". Yes OP... my son is circ'd and my son that I will have in a matter of days will be too. I never had not one issue with aftercare or healing. When he was brought back to me he was perfectly fine and asleep. He never cried when it was time to clean it. Handled it like a champ and I'm glad I did it.

It will always be a huge debate. Apparently some women are extremely concerned with other boys penises.

No one can resist the allure of a possible circumcision debate....Oh well.

My son is circumsized and I would do it again. He did not cry at all during the procedure and was in a great mood after. I left the decision up to my husband, if he said no, I would have reconsidered.

Although I dont agree with the women who are against circumcision I understand why they get so passionate about it. I am the same way about smoking/alcohol when preg and can hardly resist sharing my research and knowledge on the subject...

I didn't read all the replies, but I circumcised my first son and we had major problems with the actual circumcision for 2 years he now looks uncircumcised so I feel like it was totally pointless and a waist of money. I did not circumcise ds2 and very glad I didn't so much less work. Hadn't had any issues so far. I think everybody has different opinions tho. And doing research would be most beneficial   good luck mama
