Is this normal?

I'm 37 weeks and noticed that as I get closer to the due date, my son who's almost 21 months is nursing way more and staying on the breast a lot longer. My breast are getting really sore and I've noticed that I'm getting contractions they feel almost like light period cramps. Is this normal?

You're producing more colostrum now, so fatty is hogging it ;)

And nursing causes contractions. It can send you into labor just like any other nipple stimulation!

might explain why he's eating less . I'm not sure how nursing two is going to go but I sure hope it gets less painful lol The dr is talking about inducing me at 39 weeks due to GD ... so if I was to actually go in labor say anytime after next week I'd be ok with it   thanks so much for the responce
