What do you do to keep your 4 year old entertained in the winter when having to stay cooped up in the house?

My girls do puzzles, we read books, color, write our letters and numbers, count objects, sing, dance, play games ect...

The options at 4 are endless. They are very imaginative at this age.

I certainly hope you aren't implying that it is too cold to play outside for your area. lol

That's what I was confused about too haha. We go outside at any temperature even of its 5 mins. Cold Fresh air prevents illness.

That is an old wives tale but, it is still good to get out and get some exercise. My kids all get out unless it is too cold or snowing/raining. If I can see my breath we don't play outdoors. The girls play outside at preschool. My little guy pretty much gets from the house to the car unless it is a nice day then he plays outside with the girls after they get out of school.

We go out for at least 15 minutes a day (depending on the temp) unless it's in the teens or negative numbers then we stay inside and my 3 year old just gets cabin fever and goes crazy for a few days lol

It's freaking awesome. And they're $1 for 5 at Target.

It takes 2 of the bracelet kind to make it awesome---I wanna do it with a military spec chem light (super glow stick for emergency use)

We do preschool stuff too (colors, letters, shapes, numbers, addition, subtraction, writing, memorizing his address, our names, phone number, dinosaur facts, animal facts, basic science, basic history, anatomy, math, etc.

Kid loves to learn about everything. He's insane!

One is okay, but not bright. I use 2. Still need the door cracked with a light on in the hall usually.

Yea we do a lot of pre-k stuff I recently just bought him the Tag junior and he has been obsessed with it for days now and he likes to read regular books as well. We work with his number he is at 25 so we are trying to get to 30 and he knows most of his alphabet.

When it comes to writing their name and what not what do you find to be the best way to help them learn how to draw the letters? The tracing books or?
