RSV and daycare:

posted 4th Feb
I know this is probably a stupid question, but when can a child go back to daycare after being diagnosed with RSV? I took DS to the Dr last week and he was 'fine'. Congested, but his lungs were clear. Saturday he started coughing. Yesterday was bad. I got him into the Dr first thing this morning. He has RSV. Pedi said there really wasn't any treatment for it, I just have to watch his breathing because if it gets worse, he will be admitted to the hospital for oxygen. DH stayed home with him today and is planning on tomorrow as well (he has PTO, I used all mine since I just returned from maternity leave). But how long does he need to stay home? DH's boss said however long he needs, but I want to be able to give him a timeline. DS never had a fever, and still doesn't. Just a cough and labored breathing.

I'm planning on calling the nurse tomorrow but DH was hoping to call his boss tonight with some update.
