Well let's see......
With DD I lived at Dunkin Donuts. Usually every morning I'd get a large mocha iced latte with a turbo shot. Sometimes during the day I'd even go back for a large iced coffee. She was born one day shy of 35 weeks at a healthy 6 pounds 2 ounces. So I think she was 'normal' size for when I had her.
This time around, not so much caffeine due to hyperemesis. It's been better lately so I'm back to my Dunkin Donuts every morning routine. I've also added in Starbucks about 1-2 times a week. Which usually consists of a large frappuccino of some kind. DS is measuring right on track size wise.
My OB isn't concerned at all with my caffeine intake. I also don't drink ANY soda. I can't stand carbonated drinks. So other then my latte and frappuccino intake I drink water & Apple juice (very rare I drink that though). Oh and I'll occasionally drink ice tea, when I go out to dinner.

I don't know that it is actually related but it sure makes me wonder.
My non caffeine baby was 10.2
The baby I drank the most caffeine with was 8 lbs.

Nope not at all lol, I drank like 7 cups of coffee a day (tsk tsk I know) and coke on top of that too...my baby was 10lbs 10oz, born at 39 weeks..
Now, I drank nothing with my first baby, not even a cup of tea, she was only 8lbs 5oz...

I would say I drank a little more than the recommended amount, I worked crazy hours and it was either that or I'd be falling asleep driving.
DS was 6lbs 9oz at Birth (37 weeks)

I didnt drink more then u could and I found out my baby is measurign small..I have now upped my caffeine b/c I cant do the water everyday and I have been getting horrible headaches but me and my hubby were both small babies when we were born. He was 5 lbs something and I was 6 lbs 12 oz....I dont think the caffeine will make small babies I think its already in ur genes if nothing eles. I know a girl who only drank pop and her baby wieghted 8 lbs something.

I did have some when pregnant. But I love the pumpkin spice frappe Starbucks puts out every year I just asked for it cream based so all the good stuff - the Joe. I mean its only a few months I am willing to cut down until LO is around. when I will really need a good cup of Joe lol.

I cut down a great deal also. I used to be addicted to energy drinks and OF COURSE I stopped with those completely (those would be SO bad for LO I'm sure) I swore I'd never drink them again, and sure enough....shortly after he was born, I was back on them....just so I could keep myself awake. You'll def. need a "good cup of joe" for sure....or 10 lol

I drank one cup of coffee in the morning. I cut down a lot. Couldn't give it up compley. One can of soda every once in a while when my ass was really dragging. I had a small baby, right under 6 pounds.

with my little girl i drank a large iced coffee everyday.. and she was 7 lbs 13oz... my son will be born in 3 weeks and well have to see how big he is... i think he's gonna be small just based on my stomach.. but he dropped three times already and we never really got to see how huge i would get... i drink half a can of monster to a whole can a day or coffee sometimes... i try not too drink too much of a can though.. but so far they say he's a healthy baby so well see if it effected his weight

I was really careful with my caffeine intake with my first, mostly abstaining. She was 6 lbs 7 oz. My second I drank at least 2 cups a day (after the first trimester, I can't drink coffee at all in the first tri) and she was 8lbs 6 oz.
I don't think it did anything.

I just refuse to chance it. If you are a heavy coffee drinker I do not expect you to stop but at least cut down. Once a week etc is enough for me. I know some people will think this sounds dramatic but just like with smoking yes you can do it should we subject our babies to it I think not. ?Do what your comfy with but I never understand why some women ask questions like this if they don't want actual answers. Saying no I did it anyway and my kid turned out fine does not make it ok. At least that's how I see it.

it didn't effect my son. i drank a cup of coffee, or tea once a day, ate chocolate (even though it doesn't have much caffine in it) and drank pop maybe 3 times a week.. my son was 7lbs 15oz at birth and was 6 days early.
i wouldn't worry too much about it. i just don't recommend going over 2 cups of coffee a day.
