balanced hormones?

posted 4th Feb
so tomorrow i go in for a EEG at 11:15 thats fine whatever i can handle it..

but at 2 i have to go to the obgyn to get my hormones tested because they think i may be imbalanced. im so nervous about this. i know its just mostly a blood draw and wait for the results but i never thought id have to get this tested. im wondering if this is why my periods are so crazy?

if my hormones are all mess up what will they do? does that mean i wont be able to have anymore children? im seriously concerned about this. i always thought i was ok on the hormones if not a little early. i was in a c cup by nine years old and pms-ing by 11.

has anyone else gone through this? what was your experience? no rude comments please as i truely am just not sure whats going on.

I don't have experience with that intensive of testing, but some of the puberty stuff you described sounds like what I went through too. Come to find out I have PCOS & Insulin Resistance, both of which are typically hormonal imbalances.

all i know of for sure is a blood draw..

ive noticed im having excessive hair (sorry im embarrassed to admit that) like on my stomach and breast.
i was measured last week for a new bra and am now a triple D cup.
i cant seem to loose weight.
horrid acne (im almost 22)
mood swings.
very irregular periods. (but they are always 4 days long, just always start differently)

is this anything like the things you listed? im not sure what PCOS is?

Pretty much everything you listed is a symptom of PCOS. So glad you are getting tested so they can try and fix any problem you are having  Good luck to you on ALL of your testing!

Quoting 6 blessings so far....:" are they checking you for a thyroid disorder?"

no idea.. i called today and told them whats going on and they immediately mentions the hormone thing and scheduled me a apt for tomorrow. she mentioned a blood draw but didnt say anything else..

thats one reason im so nervous i have no idea what to expect, im terrified of needles and have to go alone so that doesnt help my nerves.
