Bleeding..

I'm 6 week pp and still bleeding heavily! It was starting to lighten up two weeks ago and then got the blood again, i thought then it was my period, but it's been going on for over two weeks now and it's heavy, bright red with clots and discharge. Sorry tmi! Will i ever stop bleeding!!!! Is this "normal"? I have read of pieces of placenta being left inside and if so they have to surgically remove it? Anyone gone through this, pls tell me it'll stop soon lol

I bled forever with my first. Like at least a couple months off and on.
