Pregnancy Carpal tunnel?

My sister suffered carpal tunnel when she was pregnant with her twin girl 3 almost 4 years ago. I am wondering since I can't get ahold of her and ask her about it, if any of you could tell me what you think this sounds like carpal tunnel. About 2 months ago I started having problems with my right hand, and wrist. It stayed in pain for a few days, and eventually went away on it's own so I didn't worry about talking to my doctor. But this afternoon it came back. It's painful right around the veins near my thumb. If you touch it, it shoots extreme pain throughout my entire hand. I have also been having pain in my wrist and arm too. The pain is consistent and won't go away now, well not the pain in my wrist but the pain in my hand is the one that won't go away. What does this sound like to you? Should I be concerned? Oh and I know that I didn't sleep on it wrong because it's not where anything bends at.

i have it with both of my kids. both my hands and wrists would hurt and go numb just randomly it was so bad it would wake me up in the middle of the night from the pain and it didnt matter how i laid or sat or whatever my hands would go numb. it just plain sucked

Was it pain near your veins, and bone? It really hurts, and I am wondering if I should talk to him about it when I go for my 36 weeks check up Wednesday :/. Parts of my body does go numb, and my hands are one of them O.o

I had it before i got pregnant. Now at 22 weeks its just getting worse. My hands and wrists constantly hurt they go numb if i use them a lot. I can barely grip anything hard enough to hold on to them. They feel awful all the time. I used to think it hurt, but now its wayyy worse. Hopefully itll go back to the pain i had before i was pregnant when she gets here. I hope yours doesnt get bad!

My sister had to have surgery for hers, she said its a lot better now. that may be something to look into maybe? I am thinking its all in my head now since I woke up without it hurting.

yes. but all my doctor had me so was get braces for my wrists that were specialy made for carpal tunnel

I would, but surgery just sounds painful lol. It wasnt too bad before i got pregnant. Now its just ridiculous some days. I will hav to see how bad it is after birth. Fingers crossed itll go back to how it was.
