Miscarriage?!

posted 4th Feb
My LMP was dec 29th for only 3 days. I got what I thought was my period on Saturday (2.2.13). On Sunday I woke up in so much pain and my nose was bleeding. I went to the bathroom and sat down to pee. As I wiped, there was this small, bean-sized white thing on the toilet paper. At first, I thought it was a piece of my tampon string but as I looked closer it looked like a 5 week old fetus. The only way I know what it looks like is because when I was pregnant with my daughter they showed me these little dolls that resembled what your baby looked like every week. I showed it to my doctor and she didn't look at it closely but said it was too small to realize if it was or not. When I looked at it, I saw the head, a faint spine, the feet (or the tail), and small little wings where the arms will be. The doctor also said that my pee test was negative. I don't understand, I had sore boobs last week, morning sickness, and now I get my "period" and a fetus looking thing comes out? I would like to get some advice from someone who might've been in this situation before or knows more about this

you were able to see that on something that small?

Maybe it was just some weird tissue if the pregnancy test was negative. Did you pass placenta or anything else? You can't have a baby in there with no placenta.

You wouldn't be able to see anything, and if you were having a miscarriage, you would have had a positive pregnancy test with weakening levels.

At five weeks it isn't even a fetus yet and it wouldn't be the size of a bean yet either. It wouldn't be big enough to decipher any body parts at all. As a matter of fact ultrasounds often don't pick anything up that early.
I don't know what that was but it wasn't a "fetus".

That early on there actually would be no placenta, the yoke sack is what nurishes the fetus until the placenta is finished forming and takes over at around 10-12 weeks.

A typical yolk sac at 5 weeks would be around 11mm....

Tell that to my doctor and the placenta the examined..

By week 5 the placenta starts working

http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-pregnancy-5-weeks_1094.bc
"In the meantime, the primitive placenta and umbilical cord, which deliver nourishment and oxygen to your baby, are already on the job."

http://www.baby2see.com/development/week5.html
"Now comes an exciting time of rapid growth! The amniotic sac, amniotic cavity and yolk sac are developing. The placenta is beginning to form now too."

according to Mayo clinic the placenta starts to form in week 4

So please don't tell me what you think you know. I have experienced it in December.
