Quoting My boys = My life:" So please tell me doctor smurf.. Why did I pass a placenta 4 inches in length 1 inch wide? Give me a chart specifically stating placenta sizes.. Not sacs PLACENTA"

When i had my U/S last pregnancy, I was much earlier than expected because of a funky cycle. At 5 weeks via U/S dating, they had to zoom in all of the way to barely make out a tiny itty bitty dot of a circle that would eventually turn into a gestational sac with everything inside. Now if it was that small that the U/S had to zoom in all of the way and had a miscarriage at that point, there would have been blood and clots, but there's no way i would have recognized anything baby-like inside of it.

Also, when i had a miscarriage at 5 weeks, there was tons of blood, but nothing identifiable.

There's no way you could have been 5 weeks pregnant and passed something 4 inches long. Your dates must have been off.

At five weeks it's impossible to give you the size of a placenta because the thing is just beginning to form. Your "baby" is a blastocyst. You were either not five weeks, that wasn't a placenta, or you had some severely abnormal growth.
As for the OP, the "fetus" is a cluster of a few cells and about the size of a pen tip.

No need to be a "rude bitch".. She asked once... and replied to other peoples posts.. chill out and stop trying to be some badass you really arent... and i dont think you have the medical knowledge to confirm whether or not she infact miscarried or not....

Then there was clearly something terribly wrong with the growth of that pregnancy. I'm sorry for your loss but you can't argue that that is normal. In a typical pregnancy the placenta is just starting to form at 5 weeks and you wouldn't be able to find it in the bleeding and discharge of a miscarriage. It would be no larger than the mark of a pen.

Read the blog, Pergnancy stopped growing at 6 weeks.. Pictures of what she passed at the bottom. Mine looked sort of like that, a bit different.

First of all sorry for your loss. Second of all I think we all need to keep in mind how much pregnancy changes in the first couple of weeks. The baby literally doubles in size every week or so. The baby probably grows faster than that the first couple of weeks actually. At 4 weeks, there would be nothing visible via U/S. By 6.5 - 7 weeks, they can see a baby with a hb. At 5 weeks, there's just nothing really there yet.

Maybe OP's dates were off, but if she was far enough along to see a baby in all of the icky stuff, she should have definitely been getting positive pregnancy tests.

She made a thread right before she posted this one asking the exact same thing and in that one she called me a rude bitch because I asked why she made another thread and she didn't like that everyone in there was telling her it didn't sound like a miscarriage either. Haha.

In that one she said her doctor confirmed that she couldn't identify anything and that she had gotten a negative blood test when she went in to get checked.

You would still test positive after a miscarriage for.10-21 days x

Not true. Chemical pregnancies, the hcg can leave your system within a day.
