heartbeat

I'm just wondring what all of your babies heartbeats were at your first ultrasound? & how many weeks were you?
I'm apparently 7 weeks & the heartbeat was 175! Which I feel is very fast. Also, do any of you believe that heartbeat has anything to do with gender??
 

Mine was 167 at 16 weeks.

My friend just got one done at 6 weeks and hers was 103.

I think mine was like 164? at seven weeks. I have a healthy crazy little boy now.

With this one it was 143 at 7 weeks and with my son it was 179 at 8 weeks.

Mine was between 150-180 at 10 weeks. Baby was moving all around. Heartbeat has been between 135-155 today at 15 weeks. I will hopefully find out what the gender is sometime next week. My daughters heartbeat was usually in the 150s

My DD was always in 170s and DS has always been about 150 except at his first ultra sound witch was about 170

No, you can't tell the sex of the baby by its heart rate.

The heart beat predicting the gender is one of those wives tales. While they're fun to play around with they really aren't all that accurate. Your little ones heart beat usually goes down as they grow because they're able to pump moreblood per beat. All but my little ones heart rate screamed boy but turned out to be a girl. I liked playing around with the wives tales but turned out my mothers intuition was right in the long run. One thing I found nice to try was the chinese gender predictor, but even that told me I was having a boy. It claims to be 90% accurate. I wouldn't rely to heavily on any wives tale, as you dont want to get the wrong idea or end up bummed out in any way.

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 5 days with this pregnancy, and the heartbeat was 157 BPM.
She is a girl.
Heartbeat with my two year old daughter was always around 140's and 150's.
but 120 - 180 is normal.

My sons has been pretty steady in the 150s

I didn't get scanned till 13 weeks as is standard here in Ireland so can only go on the heartbeat from there. It was 161 and stayed between 160 and 180 from then on. I was told 120-180 is fine. I also heard if the heartbeat is higher its a girl, lower for a boy but you can't rely on those old wives tales. True in my case of course and for a good few people i know but i do know more it was wrong for! The one gender prediction i found to be more wrong amongst my family and friends is how you're carrying such as high or low, some say if you carry higher its a girl, lower its a boy. I carried high and didn't gain much weight and i had a girl, but my friend carried low, gained 6 stone, huuuuuge bump and it was also a girl. Every pregnancy is different!

At 13 weeks his heartbeat was 171.
Now his heartbeat is consistently around 150bpm and has been for awhile.
The wives tale is that faster heartbeats (140+) means girl and slower heartbeats (140 & under) mean boy.

So no, heart rate does not predict gender  

170 at 8 weeks

The Chinese gender prediction site was wrong with all 3 of my sons. Heart rate has nothing to do with gender. Not even ultrasounds are 100% accurate. Wives tales are fun though.
