Car Seat Safety (LATCH)

I've read about the tach not being recommended for larger children. That's why I switched my almost 3 year od to the belt.

I only ever used the latch system in 1 vehicle and I buckled the effing seat belt too lol

I read you weren't so posed to use both at the same time. it puts to my strain on the car seat if you were to get in a wreck and it can actually do more damage than good.

don't do this. It's unsafe to use both the LATCH and seatbelt

!!! Always use one OR the other. Manufacturer instructions will always state to never use both. When FF, however, you should always use a Top Tether with whatever type of install.

Also, Diono is instructing parents differently regarding new LATCH rules so if you have their seats it's worth contacting them to find out more... Which I'm in the process of doing because I'm still confused by their statements and want more specific advice regarding my children's seats.

Relax ladies I only did it a couple times. It wasn't a car we typically rode in ;) I didn't know you only used one or the other at the time. This was a year ago

One of my seats goes to 90lbs harnessed but has no slots for the car belt it has to go on top of the seat between the padding and the plastic its not very safe... UGH.
