Alright ladies, the title is pretty self explanatory, but for those who remain clueless, this thread is designated for us inked mamas. Photo sharing, story telling, advice seeking, idea swapping and hopefully some good laughs.

Don't have any ink or plan on popping that cherry one day soon? Not a problem... you're welcome here too!

All I ask is to please keep the drama minimal, take it elsewhere if you have a problem with someone... keep that smurf out... I'll be pissed if this gets sent to TDC. And if you wish to share a photo that may contain partial or even full nudity.. PLEASE put a WARNING!

Awesome! I keep bouncing back and forth on whether or not I want to get a tattoo, and if I do what kind of design I want. All I know so far is that I want it to incorporate the phrase "Ní neart go cur le chéile" which is an Irish phrase in Gaelic that means "There is no strength without unity."

This is awesome! I have one tattoo. It's 6 stars on my foot. The stars are for my 2 brothers, my best friend, my grannie and papa and my great papa. (Ill add a pic when I can get one) I've got to get it redone because it has faded an doesn't look right.

I'm getting 2 more with taxes. Hoping to get my 4th one too!

DH hates them and isn't happy that I want more. But oh well. He will be ok.

I was toying around with that. I was also considering an oak tree design of some sort since that symbolizes strength and family, along with other attributes.

I really do love star tats... I plan on getting a few to go on my arm eventually once my sleeve starts coming together... I just got my main piece done Saturday. Now just trying to decide what to add next.

I had seen a photo of something I thought looked decent if you wanted something simple and delicate.

I'd probably put the phrase underneath it, curving with the roots. Idk what design for the words or where I'd put the tattoo

Ooh I really like that! I'd probably replace the flowers with oak leaves though, and take out the butterfly.

I guess it depends on how big you want it. Maybe on your calf?

Yay, a tattoo thread finally!   I currently have 4 tattoos, and have like 5 others in mind lol. One's going to be a geisha on my thigh. No, it doesn't have a specific meaning behind it, but I love that it symbolizes "beauty" All my other tattoos have meaning behind them though. I don't think ALL tattoos should have meanings.. Tattoos are a work of art.

I actually just found this... this is what it'd probably look like once on your skin... the shoulder blade isn't a bad place either...
