early inductions
posted 4th Feb
I now see why some would delay being induced. With my history of having two babies that had a shoulder stuck my dr highly suggested I be induced. So on January 31st they gave me that stuff that helps soften the cervix. Needless to say that alone put me into labor. My son was born February 1st two weeks and one day early. Drake weighed 8lbs 1.5oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. Yet he still managed to be stuck worse than my son who weighed over 9lbs. I don't do any pain meds and for being my fourth child it was pain I ever felt. A part of me thinks if I waited a little longer labor would of been a little easier but I didn't want him to be to huge to deliver vaginally either.

Congrats on your LO glad he got here safely and the induction worked.

I don't understand how an induction, an early induction, or waiting to deliver naturally play any part of his shoulder being stuck. But congrats!

Thanks! I'm just relieved he's here safe and sound. I can honestly say I am done having children. I have two girls and two boys and now my family is complete.

My first was smallest at 7lbs 13oz. She was even late didn't get stuck. But the more children I have the bigger they are. I think the dr thought if he was smaller he wouldn't get stuck. Wrong!!!
