yeast infections

is it common to get yeast infections at the end of your pregnancy.? I rarely ever get them. and I had one 2 weeks ago. Dr gave me a pill and it went away within 2 days. well its been 2 weeks and I think Im getting another one! what can I use OTC to get rid of it? I called her office but she is gone for the day so I have to wait til tomorrow to get anything from the Dr.

Extremely common. I got like 2 yeast infections and a UTI towards the end of DS's pregnancy. Ugh, that sucked.

can it hurt of affect the baby if I would go into labor with one?

Yes its common unfortunatley. Have you tried monistat? There are 3,5 and 7 day treatments you can buy OTC. Although its a little annoying, it works great.

Research yogurt for a yeast infection. You can actually inject/insert plain, non-sweetened yogurt into the vagina for a yeast infection. It's actually the only thing that will cure mine.

I haven't tried anything yet, I had just called my dr. but she is out of the office so I have to call back tomorrow.. I just didn't know what to use.. I think I will head to the store and pick something up later.

The best thing I have ever found is grapefruit seed extract capsules. You take orally 3x a day & insert vaginally 1 capsule at bedtime. That is what I took for yeast in the nips while nursing #1 and prego with #2.
