I bruise so easily.

posted 4th Feb
I bruise really easily, I bump into something and next morning I have a bruise.
It's kinda gross looking! I've been eating a banana a day for a long time, because I heard that helps. It's more of an on again-off again kinda thing. I just went the last 6 months without having bruises. They're really light and don't hurt to touch, it's just not to normal to bruise this easily. It's just not pretty. I've been to the Dr once about this, but that was like 5 years ago.. it was no help.

I just really don't want people to think I've been beaten! Because that's not it. I'm just slightly clumsy.
Any advice of what I should add to my diet?

I don't take many vitamins, just biotin and fish oil

Have you had your iron levels checked and things like that? Are you underweight?

I had them checked though my pregnancy, and 6 months PP for WIC, they said everything turned out fine.. I am also 2 years PP. I've had this problem since 15, I'm almost 21.

& No, not underweight. I'm 5 pounds more then my ideal weight for my height

I bruise all the time too because my iron levels are low. I'm taking vitamins with iron in them now.

Hmmm. That's odd. But, I'd mention it again to your doctor next time you see them. <3

I will, lol!
It could also be genetic, and I don't want bruises the rest of my life. :p
