They scream and cry when you put them down for 5 minutes to pee or something.

They become independent earlier in life.. because you were ALWAYS there when they needed your comfort.

& why would you want to hold your baby 24/7?

They get all the cuddles and skin to skin contact they need. I held DS alll the time for the first few months, and I think our bond is stronger because of it.

Im 99% sure it's because i held him every chance i got and he knew id pick him up soon. From birth i talked to him like an adult " mama is putting you down so she can potty" or " does Lane want to wear blue or red today?" *shurgs* some people dont get it. but i dont regrete it one bit.. my son has been independent since 10 months. he didnt eantbto be held.. he wanted to walk and he did. and still does. i find it funny to see moms carrying their 4 year old and roll their eyes at me baby wearing a newborn. each to their own though.

Yep, I totally get it! I was the same way. I think it makes them a lot more confident.

depends on how old the baby is. i have carried my now 5 month old all the time basically since the day he was born hes starting to get more independant. I can start putting him on the floor now and he rolls around and is trying to crawl but gets very fustrated. i think once he can really crawl he wont want anything to do with me anymore lol. when their newborns theres no such thing as holding them to much
