wellbutrin

My dr prescribed me Wellbutrin today to assist me in quitting smoking. Im currently 12 weeks pregnant and i have read that it is a class C drug and it is unknown whether or not it causes harm to an unborn baby. Have any of you taken Wellbutrin while pregnant? Did it have any side effects?

Ive never taken it pregnant, but i had it prescribed years ago, for anxiety and sleeping.

I took it while pregnant with my daughter 2 years ago.

It was for anxiety. I didn't have any side effects.   I've taken Zoloft pregnant before too. No problems at all.

Have you taken it not pregnant ?

there was a commercial for the other name for it. saying it caused cleft lip and clubbed foot.. and something else.. my dr perscribed the other name and that night i seen the commercial on tv.. i wouldnt take it... didnt even get mine filled

lol that's weird. my daughter is fine and so is my niece AND nephew. they just don't have tons of pregnant women to test on. there are no facts that it causes any of that

No ive never taken it before. I was a bit surprised that my ob decided yo prescribe it to help with quitting smoking. But im glad to hear you didn't have any side effects  i that's my main concern right now

Yeah you should be JUST fine. I am taking it this time too. (I'm only 5 weeks right now) but yeah

Wow that's scary! Ive done some research on it though and haven't found any studies that says it causes birth defects. Then again nothing could prove that it didn't either :-/
