NB cloth diaper covers

posted 4th Feb
This post is just to help mommas that want a comparison! I couldnt find one online that had all of these specifically side by side so I hope this helps someone!

So I thought I'd post a comparison photo for new momma's (like me) interested in cloth diapering a newborn using covers. I wish I would have seen these exact ones compared in size because it definately would have swayed my purchases a bit. I bought a bunch of different because I didnt know how they would compare in size. But I cant complain because I got really good deals on these. I tend to have small kiddos so I know we'll be in the NB stage for a while.

These are all on their smallest settings...
The two on the left are one size top: grovia bottom: flip
Middle: NB pamper and thirsties duo wrap size 1
right top: rumparooz nb right bottom: xs thirsties

(all together I have 8 NB covers and 7 OS)

Wow those are a huge size diff. My bear monkey bottoms AI2s are the smallest we have. The grovia AIO are second smallest but don't have a cord snap and they're a little big around the legs. The ones I got from moms on here are a little wider but snap down really well.

I'm glad I didn't get the NB Thirsties, they look the same size as the duo. But I am so jealous of that robot Rumparooz...I want it bad lol.

It's amazing how big some of them are. I'm in the process of knitting some wool covers and am having difficulties remember just how small babies are when born. My youngest is 4, so it's been a while, lol. Not to mention I didn't start cd'ing until he was 7 months so I have no nb size cloth, lol. I hope I get the sizing right.

I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine! I would so make covers. The only thing I did myself was cut liners out of a yard of fleece. lol

When I get a sec I can measure the width and length and rise of snaps and all that on mine to give u an idea. And I'll measure my baby too. She's a preemie but she ended up 6lb 7 oz. but now she's at 5lb 12 oz. but I haven't even had to use the preemie snaps on my customs and the nb setting on the grovia is good I just wish it had a cord snap   and the mom on here made me snap downs for a smaller rise which I have all the way down but she made them so we could extend them for a longer period of time.

I was worried how the covers would fit with his cord   I bought a pack of sposies in case.

The sizing would be really helpful, thanks. Our JoAnn's started carrying PUL fabric now so I was going to sew up some covers and pocket diapers too and would much rather not make them too small considering the cost of PUL.

My boys were 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 7 lbs. 13 oz. respectively so I may want to size up just a little, as they say each baby just gets bigger. Although, I think I would be perfectly happy with an under 8 lb. baby.

They do start to feel a bit more cumbersome in your last few weeks don't they, lol. I hope your deliver goes smoothly.

My first was 8 days late and my second was 8 days early so you never know. Maybe this one will come on my due date, lol.
