Repeated small exposure to allergens can significantly worsen reactions too. It works both ways.

Sharing "information" isn't the same as pushing "beliefs"!!!

But being critical of what someone else chooses to do is better? OP will do what she feels is right for her baby, and so will the rest of us.

I love the "I did this now proven unsafe thing with my kid and they're fine, so clearly science is wrong" argument.

Like if my kid jumps off a bookshelf and doesn't break anything it suddenly becomes safe for him to continue to do it.

I have to agree with you on this! I know once we find out that I am pregnant I stop drinking all caffine because it can increase your chances of misscarriages and after having 2 myself and complicated pregnancies I refuse to drink it and people thought I was an idiot for doing this or I got the oh well I drank tons of caffine and my babies turned out just fine.. I know this is another topic but just thought I would put an example out there

I have educated myself, and have made my choices, if ever I regret my choices you will be the first to know seeing as the buck stops with you! And may I point out that tons of babies with reflux are put on cereal by their pedi, so if its soooo bad for babies without reflux then babies with reflux who are put on it are all doomed...seeing as they are getting empty calories and cereal is bad.

Well my son can't have babyfood yet due to causing to many allergies so its cereal and only because he has a medical condition! The only reason they considered cereal is because it was affecting his weight and we now have to go in for weight checks! He was 8lbs 15 ounces at birth and was only 12lbs 14 ounces at 4 months old.. When they did his first weight check a week apart he only gained 2 ounces!! I would have never put him on cereal for this if the dr didn't feel like it was best for him

You did what was best for your baby, and I do I what I feel is best for mine. This is exactly what I am saying, we all have the same goals, we put our kids first. We do what we feel is best for our kids.

I did what the Dr thought was best with him falling fast down the charts and unable to hold his food down and refusing to eat.. I didn't do what I thought was best because I follow dr recomendations. Like I said if the dr didn't think it was what he needed I would have never started him on the cereal because I don't want to cause any other unecisary problems..

I actually decided I wasn't going to use cereal as it seems there is no reason to. If he's hungry then he gets a bottle no cereal. Btw this had nothing to do with sleeping threw the night he does really good with sleeping half the time he doesn't even wake up to eat a bottle. But during the day he eats a lot lol! But if cereal is nothing but fat basically then there is not reason to feed it to him guess I'm going to wait until he can have some yummy baby food lol!   Thank you guys for all your help! I love how every question I have I can come on here and hear the facts about almost everything   Helped me so much so far during these 11 weeks lol!
