posted 4th Feb
Ladies my due date is march 8th but my dr tolled me at my last visit that more than likely I will be getting a c-section due to my baby being breech, now I think is to early and theres still time for the baby to change position. Now I just want to know if any march ladies have delivered already and what are they going thru?

Even March 1 ladies are still preterm. Your C for breech would probably be at 39 weeks, not any time soon (and you don't HAVE to have a C for breech)

Exactly.

OP if your doctor attempts to give you a c section now for nothing more than your baby being breech you have an extremely smurffy doctor.

It's way to early for him to be deciding that already. Maybe he is just trying to prepare you for a possibility. My baby was head down from 30-36 weeks flipped up at 37 and back down at 38. It's more then possible for baby to still flip. My doctor and the doctors in his office will not knowingly deliver a breech baby so at 37 weeks he told me the same thing. Here I am now, two days overdue and still waiting on him to make his entrance (head down).

I think most OBs who do c-sec for breech and dont do vbacs have such policies due to insurance. An attempt to stay away from possible malpractice law suits.

Yes I understand that but before 37 weeks? That's just a smurffy doctor.

March babies born in February? I hope not! If he is pushing a section I would
wait till past my due date and I would labor all first to see if the baby flips there are some exercise you can do.
I heard going in water can help the baby flip, but since you have another month your baby will most likely slip on its own.
My BD grandmother delivers his father 11lbs and breech and no meds that was a long time ago but hey it can be done!

C section wouldnt be till 39w anyways, I would think s/he was prepping the patient for the possibility. I was told the same, that we'd see what happens but be prepared for a c-section. Helped me mentally prepare I think, since I had my birth plan envisioned I had to take a step back and be prepared for anything.

I was staying IF the doctor wants to do it before 37 week it's a smurffy doctor. I know it's probably closer to 39 weeks in which case it's not a smurffy doctor.

Agree with this completely.

OP if you're due March 8, your c-section would be around March 2.

You know your baby has PLENTY of time to get into position, right?!

Why can't you just wait until your body is ready to deliver and see where baby is then. Jeeze, doctors are so quick to just want to give a c-section. Also, your due date can be off by two weeks. So that being said, you could possibly have an 'extra' two weeks and not be due until mid march. Which means your baby has even more time to get into position.

I'd be refusing that c-section & finding a new OB.

My second child, my 8 pd son, turned at 38 and a half weeks. believe me if its anything like mine you will know lol. Unless you HAVE to have a c-section i would not. They can turn the baby manually or atleast attempt to. im sur there are even things you can do at home. My son turned after having sex so maybe that would help you. ive had two natural and this will be my second csection and i would much rather have her natural!! Good luck dear.
