She probably isen't a lesbian, just use to being around females and much more comfortable with them. It's understandable if it's new to be around boys. I would try making a mommy friend with a gentle and calm boy to do play dates with so she can get more accustomed to the opposite sex. Might take some work but she should get there.

And you need to talk to your husband, he needs to be more accepting of his kids damnit >.> I know my daughter is unlikely to be, but if she ever did find herself falling in love with a woman later in life, I would be thrilled for her. Doesn't matter who they are as long as they love her back and treat her right.

I have never experienced this....I dont have a 5 y/o but I did work in an Elm school setting and directed a day care. We had one boy who did not play with boys and had two friend that were girls. They loved to play dolls and he def. had a very outgoing personality. Some of the kids would tease him about this and his mom was very relaxed about it. I agreed with her, let him play with what he wants. He was only 6. If you are concerned, maybe you could talk to the school counselor about this for advice?

I think she will grow out of it. She is only five and at that age they just want to hang out with their own gender

That's what I don't understand, she went to kindergarten for 2yrs, she was around boys the whole time, and was scared of those boys too...it's all "boys"

Oh that's sad! yeah when I left yesterday and called, the teacher told me she (my daughter) was scared of the boys, but didn't say anything esle... 

yeh maybe see if the counselor ha any ideas. I wouldn't worry too much about the marrying girls thing though. I was convinced I would marry my bestfriend (a girl) till like..12 LOL

Me too, when we first got there she was playing at a table, and a group of maybe 6 boys came up to the table, as soon as she seen them coming she got up and left the table, I just dunno why she's like that, as I said it's not grown men, hell she lets her dad shower her.

Yeah well, something did happen last year, a little boy at kindy was calling her and her friends dumb dumb babies, and he hit Hazel and the other girls, I asked the teachers and it did happen, he got a talking to, and that was it...so maybe that's why she doesn't like boys...I enrolled her into a new school today, starts thursday so hopefully this is the one!

Yup, she told me and I thought she was lying, because she has a little problem with lying...I was like.
