Fracture and sprain. Help

For anyone who has fractured their foot and sprained your ankle I have a question for you. On Tuesday of last week I fell on one of my kids toys on the stairs and rolled over hard on my foot and ankle.
I went to two different ERs and they said I pulled all the tendons in my foot an badly sprained my ankle. Well my own doctor got the results and said I had a fracture and a bad sprain. Anyways my foot is black and blue. And I mean dark dark black and blue. It hurts sooo badly and tingles and I can barely touch it. I feel like something more is going on. I have a high pain tolerance. Heck I've had three c sections surgeries and this pain is bringing tears to my eyes. I don't know why. My question is how long did it hurt you and could you pu any pressure on it?

Several weeks. I'm suprised they didn't give you a cast or a brace for it b

I broke 4 bones in my ankle & was in a cast for 4w, in a brace for 3more & still had trouble walking on it for another month at least.

I had torn legaments and a fracture on that little bone on the side of my foot and it was horrible pain for a good three weeks. I hope the pain gets better for you soon that crap hurts!

You realize a fracture is a break right?

Pulled muscles hurt like hell.

If you have a fracture you usually require a cast unless its on a finger or lower joint of a toe. At the minimum you should be wearing a brace because while healing your muscles are really susceptible to re injury.

my 2 year old son broke his leg the begining of december. he was in a full leg cast for a month and just started walking on it again last week. leg/foot fractures are no joke. my baby was on oxycodone for pain. he looked pretty jammed, i felt bad, but its all that helped.

Thank you so much ladies. I am in an air cast but the pain is nuts. My foot looks like I have frost bite. I don't know what is going on. I am nursing so I don't want to take too much. Thanks for everyone input I may go get it looked at again.
