Movement

posted 4th Feb
I feel like I am the only one who thinks it's impossible to feel your baby's movement between 11-13 weeks. I figured I would ask the ladies of bg and see what ya'll think. I feel like I am in constant debate with women in my DDT because of it lol. I feel like this debate fits in the other categories of vaccinations, circumcising, and breastfeeding.(agreeing to disagree).

My first I didn't feel till around 20 weeks. My second I swear I felt at around 12 weeks... just very faint movements and it was not an everyday thing.

I started to feel fluttering by my 10th week but a little bit of kicking by my 23rd week. This is my first pregnancy and every pregnant woman is different.

You absolutely can feel it early. For experienced mamas, 10weeks is pretty normal for very early sporadic movements. I've felt all 3 of mine by then. Confirmed watching her kick while I felt it at 11w this time via ultrasound. And doc felt her on the OUTSIDE at 15w.

Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it can't happen. Some people are just very sensitive to it. And mamas of many kids have uteri that stretch much faster and allow feeling earlier as the uterus presses against the belly faster, etc

You do realize that at week 10 your baby is about an inch and weighs about .14oz. 10 weeks for flutters is crazy talk to me lol

I knew you would be the one to argue. I've read your previous posts. Like I said I am a firm believer in not feeling flutters. Maybe around 13 weeks I could say possibly. I'm only going off of facts here. Sure if you had 4-5-6 kids you could possibly feel flutters that early

Oh and a friend if mine is pregnant with her 5th right now. She's due about a day or two before you. And she has felt tiny flutters for the last week. I believe her because she was carrying twins but one passed, and at 8w they did a 3d video and she saw it batting its little peg arms and moving its head. I think if you've had more than one kid it can be very much possible to feel.

I would imagine after 5 kids, it's possible. I weigh 114. I am super super tiny and I know weight, age, previous pregnancies, places of the placenta, etc should be taken into consideration. I was just curious of the opinions of others. I am set in my ways with this one though and my mind wont be changed. heh

But is it possible and I am sure a mom to be can feel when her child is moving. The baby is as big as a prune by then and the developmental stage kicks in a lot more.
