I have watched my baby kick and been able to direct the nurse/doc where to put the Doppler to find baby based on those flutters at 11 weeks.

Believe what you want, but a one inch person moving IS movement (they can start to move between 7 and 8 weeks when their joints form) and very sensitive people CAN feel it. One inch is not that small. You can feel an ant crawl on your skin, right? A 10 week baby is much bigger than that. While there are fewer nerves inside, baby is much bigger and has lots of walls to bounce off of.

Only an experiences mama is likely to be able to tell the difference in gas and flutters, though. They feel similar if you've never felt the progression from flutters to swooshes to kicks before.

I think i would a different between gas and a baby lol. At each ultra sound i have had our baby was moving around or moving their hands and legs.

The only time I thought maybe I felt something early on was with my 4th child and that was around 14 weeks and it was ever so faint.....so I'm still not entirely sure what I was feeling.

As a general rule though, it's pretty freakin unlikely that someone would feel their baby at 10 weeks. At that gestational age, their little bones are just starting to form and are WAY too soft to cause the mother to feel any of the movements. Most of the movement at that time are teeny and jerky.......it's super unlikely for anything that the mom feels to actually be the baby.

I get what you're saying. I still believe what I believe. I guess I am the only one who thinks you can't feel your baby move before 13 weeks.

Thank god we have ultrasounds right? To detect how early an embryo can start to move on its own before the mother even thought she could feel it

I saw all three of my angel babies move around 9 wks at my u/s and never felt it once. lol

My kids like to be a pain. With my first between 15-16 weeks. Second kid? Oh ya 20 weeks or so. No lie. Maybe I did, but NOTHING consistent until then. She was a stinker.



I have a friend who has endo and had many m/c and now pregnant with her 4th or 5th pregnancy (none before however lasted longer than 6 weeks and she's due early July now). ANYWHO she has talked to her doc and said with endo scars that women are feeling the baby earlier then. I know not everyone has endo, just some could.
IDK.....I'm on the fence to be honest about it.

Sorry or all of your losses. I had one so technically this is my 3rd pregnancy which is still weird for me to even say. What stage were your losses if you don't me asking?

I hav an irritable uterus (as in her movements give me real contractions that I have meds for now that she's bigger), so maybe that ties into why I feel mine so early? My uterus is just more sensitive to begin with.

I also get real hard contractions when I lay on my back (so I don't). My uterus is totally spastic and grows crazy fast in the beginning (fundus measured 6w over in the beginning, now only 1-2), so I'm sure it contributes as well.

I think that some women are more sensitive than other and I also think the number you're on plays a part.

I felt my first at 18 weeks and my 4th at 11 weeks. The other 2 were felt somewhere in between.

And I'm pretty sure the only reason I knew it was movement at 11 weeks was because I was listening to the heartbeat and picked up the movement on my doppler at the same time I felt the flutter.

I was saying i could see them moving doesn't mean i could not feel at the same time lol.
