Paci - vanilla scent vs unscented

posted 4th Feb
For anyone who has used the gumdrop vanilla scented, is it quite an obnoxious/overpowering smell or is it very subtle and tolerable?

Im thinking of trying it (we have unscented at the moment) but don't want to get it if its overpowering as it'll be right under bubs nose.

WWYD?

Do you prefer scented or unscented?

Apparently there has been a study done showing that the scent is calming for babies.

Thats the only reason im considering it haha! (our bub has reflux and is unsettled ALL the time, sucking his paci already calms him enough so he can get to sleep, so if the vanilla isnt too strong im considering giving it a try)

I wouldn't do it because of how interconnected smell and taste are.

I might order a couple scented and a couple unscented to see how we go

Did she prefer any or didn't it matter?

When i thought of vanilla scented i immediately thought of the over powering vanilla scented candles lol! They make me feel nauseas

She would only take the gumdrop ones.   I ordered a crap ton for really cheap with coupon codes. Lol.

Oh no. It's not strong at all. Like I said it a really really light scent.

Oh sorry, i meant did she take either of the gumdrop ones - scented and unscented.

Or didn't she really have a preference?

Im going to have to pay $4 each or more per paci + around $7 shipping.. totally sucks LOL!

The joys of being in Australia i guess

She didn't really care. Lol. But they were the same price so we tried them. She didn't have any acid reflux problems or anything though.

That stinks!! Couldn't you find a code to get the cost of the actual pacis. Down though?

Nope

I have to order them off a lady on facebook or i can order them off ebay or amazon.

So far they're all working out to $4+ each!

Oh well, at least DS will be content.

I'll probably grab 6 just to be safe, our eldest DS looses them down the side of his bed, in the car etc.

Seems like a really dumb gimmick based on pseudo science. I would not waste my money and I would not put something in my babies mouth that has artificial scents or flavor. Potential for causing allergies and seriously why give a kid a chemical soaked paci. That's just dumb
