The Superbowl lasts what two hours? I'm assuming she had four drinks within that time. That's a drink every thirty minutes and breast feeding her child in between those times? It's not just a glass of wine. Lol.

The wine comment was just to prove a poi t. And the super bowl lasts about 4-5 hours lol especially because it's a family get together usually. Her baby is fine unless she was sloshed and unable to function. If she was slurring and falling over I would have made a comment, personally, but a few drinks won't kill your kid.

It would depend on her body size & the period of time it was consumed in - bu tit isn't inherently okay or not okay - it really depends on those factors.

The alcohol content of breastmilk is identical to the alcohol content of your bloodstream...since that is where milk comes from.

Sooo - let's say she had 3 beers in bottles at 12oz = 36 oz, over a period of 5 hrs & weighs 145lbs. Her BAC would be 0.002142857142857141 % So her milk would be 0.002142857142857141 % alcohol. So if the baby drank 1000ml - 2 ml of that would be alcohol. But since the average baby is drinking more in the range of 2-3 oz per feed (which is in fact pretty standardized) that would be 60-90 ml or .019mls of alcohol - so much less than some of the teething gels on the market. (can't seem to get links to work for me tonight so here it is to copy & paste: http://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/4438/SPC/Anbesol+Teething+Gel/ Alcohol listed as ethanol)

if the time was 3 hrs - it would much iffier at 0.03214285714285714 %

I generally just don't pay super close attention to what others do so I'd have no idea how much they drank. I can tell if they are drunk & if that isn't going on & baby is cared for - I just don't think much of it. I don't generally drink when I have a baby because it makes me very tired & I am already tired enough...but I will have a glass of wine here or there or a beer. I am also a lightweight though - so 1, maybe 2 is my absolute limit. I used to drink more before kids, but since then I have very low tolerance & it goes right to my head.

Oh okay. That's why I put a question mark because I don't watch The Superbowl. Most sports I watch, take about two hours which is why assumed that and thought what I thought, lol.

Lol, well of course it wouldn't. If my assumptions had been correct though (which I thought they were) could had harmed the baby.

Me too, a Guinness or any other dark beer is good for your milk production.
