Induction?
posted 3rd Feb
So I have been thinking that my due date is March 3rd but I had a sono done a few days ago at 35 almost 36 weeks and they told me she weighs 6 lbs and is measureing at 38 weeks so they changed my due date to February 18th! I have a OB appt tomorrow. Is there a chance they will suggest induction soon since i'm a small person (4'11 and ii weighed between 85-90 lbs before pregnant)?? Can the baby be considered too big??

highly doubtful

Late ultrasounds can be off by pounds and I'm a smaller person so I always measure big. They shouldn't be changing the date this late.

Probably not, I'm 34 weeks and my baby is measuring 36 weeks and they kept my due date the same. They won't consider induction for me until my due date of March 18th.

Changed the due date? That's...weird

Why would they change the due date so late???? Ultrasounds this late can be wrong by 2 pounds ...

I've never heard of a dr changing the due date so late. I've been measuring 4-5 weeks ahead since 24 weeks and they never once mentioned that my due date might be wrong...
And I hope they don't induce you for the baby being "too big". The body doesn't usually make a baby too big for your body, and they have no way of knowing the baby will be too big. Ultrasounds aren't very accurate for that.. Weird......... GL.
