U/S at 20 weeks?

I see most people saying they found out the gender at their 18 week ultrasound. I asked my dr if she could move mine up to 18 weeks so my MIL could be there (she's flying into town for our wedding for one day while I'll be 18 weeks) and the doctor said she wouldnt be able to do her anatomy checks that early...sooo wtf? Why can everyone elses doctors do it at 18 weeks?! lol

Most doctors do it at 20 weeks. I had to pay out of pocket to have mine at 17 weeks.

I got mine done @ 16 weeks. I got it done privately and it was a better shot than my 20 week one.

How much does that run usually?

I don't know why they won't be flexible but it's not too expensive to go to one of the 3D places just for a gender check. Sorry I know it sucks she might miss it.

What the farkel? lol I paid money and went and did a gender and 3d at 17 weeks. No reason why she can't, maybe she was being stupid and in a bad mood. I would just call and schedule it, that's me tho

generally gender can be determined between 16-20 weeks the best determination is by 18-20 weeks so she is just being difficult.
I had an ultrasound done @ 13w3d and you could still see clear as day that I'm having a boy and our ultrasound tech confirmed it.
I did DNA tests for both blood and urine that I paid out of pocket for that would determine gender by 9-10 weeks so we knew what we were having prior to the ultrasound but my husband is the one who actually spotted the wee little penis on the screen so it can be done @ 18 weeks.

It depends on the doctor. I won't get mine until after 20 probably... I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow and my appointment is next week...
