what would you do? hospital/OB
posted 3rd Feb
would you go to the same OB and hospital that you previously delivered at knowing its one of the best hospitals for maternity and have had a good experience even though you moved and it is now 30-45 mins away or would you take your chances starting over with a new OB and different hospital that is 20mins away from where you live now?

I personally would go to the same one... I drive 20/30 minutes to my OB and would never change unless I lived like 2 or more hours away

I would go the extra 10-15 minutes.

I'd go to the same one. My ob and hospital I delivered at was an hour away.

I had moved 2 hours away, and when I found out I was pregnant the last time I automatically made my appointment with my ob. I had planned on taking my maternity leave a little early and would stay with my parents until I delivered.
Now that I've moved back "home" I'm going to him with this pregnancy.

as for me I think that it is worth the trip being from outta state we are giong to make quite a long trip for me to deliver, however this is my first time and I have a really detailed birth plan also. Maybe take a online tour, tho...

I went to my OB even after moving 30min away. I liked that he knew my history and the hospital was wonderful when I delivered my first.

I'd stick with the original OB/hospital personally. Especially if it's the best in the area. I LOVED my old OB and am super bummed I'm not having this baby at my old hospital (we moved 3 hours away so it's not an option)

thank you guys (: i think i will be staying with my old one then. i just wasnt sure if i would regret driving so far while in labor but i like the fact i dont have to go through the hassle of getting my records and calling around for places accepting new patients. i just got my insurance and would love to get in ASAP so that sounds like my best bet
