Pregnant with twins.

Hello, I just found out a week ago that I was pregnant with twins. Both measured exactly 10w1day and had the same heartbeat of 173. Today is 11 weeks. I am honestly scared to death. I keep hearing/reading all of these horror stories about what can go wrong with twins in the womb. My next appt is the 12th, and I do not think I get a sonogram. I just need some reassurance I suppose. I have been trying to research, but honestly, it just discourages me. Any advice? Particularly from mommies who have twins already? Thank you!!

Jenn, I am actually 20, I just haven't updated my profile since I was pregnant with my daughter!!

My twins are 6 months old! I had them at 21.

I am 31 weeks today and my girls are fine. They are gaining weight perfectly. I can tell you one thing, stop reading. I did that and it freaked me out a lot. I do not know your pregnancy history but you may get an ultrasound every visit because I do. It's easier to tell their heartbeats apart. You will be fine but stop reading and keep track of questions for your doctor. Best advice I can give you.

Everyone keeps saying they have "a feeling" it's twins. The way I started bloating at 6 weeks and all. That's not an honest way of being able to tell, but I get an u/s on the 13th to see the sex. The doctor got the heart beat on the left side of my belly then it moved and next thing I know the heart beat is on the right side of my belly. Weird. Can't wait to see! My dad is a twin and my grandma had them at 44 years old and at home, completely natural. I would say stop reading the smurf online. Don't want it all up in your head. Babies will be fine just let em cook!

'congrats. it's amazing. My girls turn 4 on May 1st. It's a very busy life. You're tired all the time. It's also amazing to witness this kind of bond that starts now. You will be in for a ride, that is for sure!

My twins will 18 years old in October. It's a boy / girl set. I was only 22 when my twins were born and my oldest child was only 2 1/2. It can be hard at times but it also has can be a fun ride. Good luck
