Hygeia Enjoy VS. Pump in style.

posted 3rd Feb
When Ollie is about 10 weeks old, I'll be going back to work full time.

I've had a pump in style that worked fantastic for both of my kids. Now that new technology has come out, I'm wondering if I should repurchase what I'm used to or if this other pump, which I've heard fantastic things about is worth the money more.

let me know what you think.

I've never used either, and never heard of the hygeia one. But since you have a good experience with the pump in style I'd go with that one. Pumps are expensive and you don't want to buy the other one and not like it, you know? Idk. That's just me. Btw I love the name

That's what I'm thinking. However, The Hygeia can be refurbished and passed on to other mothers. Also, Its hospital grade, where the pump in style is not. This is my last baby and I really do not feel like spending 300.00 on a pump I'll have to toss when I'm done with it, if I can help it. KWIM?

Can you find a refurbished one for yourself so it's cheaper in case you don't like it?

Also can't you pass on a pump in style if they get new tubes and such? At least then you wouldn't have to toss it.

I have passed on a Pump in style, but it isn't advised. it isn't an enclosed motor so there is a small risk of milk getting into it and contaminating the system.

I wouldn't take a refurbished myself, so I'm not interested in that. However, since I don't have anyone to pass it on myself, I'd rather the company take care of it.

Do they buy it back from you and then refurbish it?

I don't know how that works. I think you just send it back to them. I really don't care too much. I can find it online for about 223.00 and I know i'll get at least a years use out of it.

That's a pretty good price. I got a mipump from target, it was super cheap but I only needed it until I could get my son to breastfeed (he had a small mouth until about 5 weeks old)

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
