"He's all you got"

Thats what my dad told me a couple hours ago before he stormed out of the room. He said he was glad I loved my son so much because now he is all I have. Him constantly showing me how disappointed he is in me is tearing me apart, I didn't know becoming a mom meant losing my best friend=(

give him time and prove to him you can do it despite being a teen mom.honestly thats all you can do at this point since its normal for a dad to just be concerned and want the best for their child at any age sometimes. maybe he will come around after he realizes its your life and he cant change it

I just turned eighteen. My son and I still live with my parents, he takes good care of us, he's just destroying me emotionally.

But he's had time to deal.

open is there anyway you can move out. I was emotionally abused by my parents my whole life, and neither you nor your child need that. You're an adult now. I understand your father is upset, but abuse is never the answer

He needs to get over the fact that you had a baby young. Acting like an ass isn't going to change the fact that it happened. You and your son don't deserve to feel unwanted

He made me quit my job. He told me all I need to worry about is school and the baby. All I have is 300 dollars.

Are you still in HS?

Honestly, I'd be getting a job. I wouldn't want my child hearing those things. I know it's hard but you need to think of your child too. And how can you be the best parent when the one who should be supporting you is ringing you down?

Screw that smurf... Get your job back, go to school and care for your son and get the hell out of there... Do not let him belittle you like that. You are not that young. Yes you are 18, but at least you werent 13 - 16.. Keep your head up.

Yes I graduate in June. You are right, I just don't want my family to think I'm ungrateful or unappreciative.

Thats the thing.. I dont see you as ungrateful... He is the one that is taking you and your son for granted.
