Breastfeeding pain
posted 3rd Feb
Sorry if this is wrong forum to post in, but, anyone experience cracked, bleeding nipples?
I have a song desire to continue breastfeeding, but it is hurting SO so much. The last time I nursed him with my right breast I noticed blood in the milk/colostrum. I've been trying to get him to latch correctly, having the while areola in his mouth, he's had a decent amount of bowl movements and wet diapers but, idk what else to do.
:c

Oh I remember the pain of breast feeding, I had the hardest time getting my daughter to latch. I also had bloody sore nipples it got to the point where both nipples were extremely raw and I had to pump and feed from a bottle cause I would cringe every time I'd breast feed. I agree with the other ladies to use Lanolin it really does help mostly with the burning. Good luck to you. My baby is due in just a couple weeks and I am honestly dreading to breast feed again but I want to try to stick with it this time around.
